Spotify at the Appstore

Finally, Apple decided to approve Spotify, and let us to download and install to our iPhone/iPod Touch from the AppStore or iTunes.

The bad notice is, similarly to Spot, which we talk in another post, a Spotify Premium account is needed, necesita una suscripción premium a Spotify, in other words pay 9,99 € by month.

Install .ipa Applications to iPhone with Itunes

It’s a real headache to  download and install IPA applications and synchronize with iTunes on iPhone, isn’t it?
Ideally, installing applications. Ipa for iPhone with itunes should be a quick task. This is already possible, taking into account the need to update our MobileInstallation, given that the preconditions are:

  1. We must have the iPhone Jailbreak.
  2. Add the following repo to your Cydia:

    http://cydia.hackulo.us

  3. Let our AppSync Cydia and search for 3.0, taking into account that by now everyone should have the firmware 3.0 installed
  4. We installed it and do a reboot of our terminal

From now on, when downloading an application from windows API, you can double click on it, will be added to iTunes and then connecting our iPhone, it syncs and install it without problem since the permissions for the necessary directories have been made 777, as required for installation.

If you still disponéis version 2.0 or 2.2.1 on your iPhone, you can also go to your iPhone via SSH if you have the Jailbreak and do the following:

  1. Connect to iPhone with WinSCP for SFTP or WinSCP on windows
  2. Create a folder called Documents in /Applications and give it 777 permissions
  3. Create a folder called Documents in /var/mobile with permissions 777 also
  4. Enter “/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework”
  5. Find a file called MobileInstallation and rename MobileInstallation.bak
  6. Download the following file patched http://stashbox.org/176559/MobileInstallation.zip and climbed into the same direction from the previous step Changing permissions to 775
  7. We Reboot the device and voila

Now you can install the files and double clicking IPA are added to iTunes, etc …

As you can see the first option is waaaaay easier;)

Cargar ficheros ipcc en Windows y Mac con itunes

A continuación detallamos como podemos poner nuestro iTunes preparado para poder cargar ficheros ipcc, esos que nos permiten activar el tethering en nuestro iPhone 3.0

Para Mac, escribimos esta línea en el terminal:

defaults write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool TRUE

Para windows, en el acceso directo que tengamos, lo editamos y ponemos lo siguiente (tenéis que incluir también las comillas):

“C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe” /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1

backup iphone

pues leyendo algunas de las rss de apple a las que estamos suscritos he encontrado un artículo que me ha parecido bastante interesante que habla de los backups del iphone y del ipod touch y me gustaría compartirlo con todo áquel a quien le pueda interesar.

para los que no lo sepan, itunes se encarga de hacer copias de seguridad de nuestro dispositivo con una determinada frequencia, para que en el caso de que necesitemos restaurar toda la información de nuestro iphone o ipod touch (excepto canciones y vídeos) podamos hacerlo sin problema alguno y de una forma fácil, sencilla y para toda la familia. en este post veremos dónde se guardan, como hacer backups “extra” y como manejarlos. con lo que por ejemplo podríamos guardar las copias de seguridad en cd/dvden el caso de que así nos interese hacerlo ;)
