The first version released of Spirit have the bug that deletes all your photos in your camera roll, it’s important if you are thinking to apply the jailbreak to your iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad download the latest version of spirit directly from spirit website to obtain the latest version with the bug fixed.

If you apply spirit in its first release to your iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad and you lose all your photos in your camera roll, pay attention to the following steps and you can recover it.

The information arrives to us via Gadgets DNA (mac) and ModYouri (windows).

Important: You must have sincronized your iPhone with date before the Spirit release date (May 3th).

Steps Mac:

1. Install OpenSSH in your device and change the default password for root user via Cydia
2. Install iPhone Backup Extractor for mac in your computer, download from here
3. Open iPhone Backup Extractor, click on Read Backups
4. Select one backup previous to May 3th from the popup window and press choose
5. Select the option iPhone OS Files from the list
6. Select the destiny folder for extract the files
7. Navigate to the extracted folder selected and open Media/DCIM, here are the photos of your camera roll
8. Connect to your device through SFTP with FileZilla via WiFi IP Address, copy the DCIM directory restored into the device directory /User/media
9. Enjoy! It’s all

Steps Windows

1. Install iPhone Backup Extractor 32 bits 64 bits in your computer
2. Install WinSCP in your computer.
3. Install OpenSSH in your device through Cydia and remember change the default password for root user
4. Open iPhone Backup Extractor and select one of your backups previous to May 3th
5. Select the option Restore some or all files from backup manually, press next
6. Expand the Media folder, check it and its subdirectories and press next
7. Select the destiny directory when do you would to save the files, for example the desktop
8. Open WinSCP and take the Wi-Fi IP Address of your device to connect them via SSH, copy DCIM directory restored from iPhone Backup Extractor of the device directory /User/media/
9. Enjoy! it’s all
