A week ago, Linux Mint 9 “Isadora” was released. This distribution is based on Ubuntu, and it is better one rated by the users (In http://distrowatch.com/ is in 2nd position). Mint combines the Ubuntu‘s advantages with a simple and elegant interface, and it improves certain aspects.
This latest version is based on Ubuntu 10.04, and it brings new enhancements such as the new software manager.
When we update to Lucid Lynx, we check that Java packages (Java Run Environtment and Java Plugin) were remove from us system. We can fix them if we add a new repository.

Well, i’m back with the posts about ubuntu, concretly the 10.04 version, recently i’ve updated my work computer and i’ve detected some problems with the Flash Plugin when browse internet with my new Mozilla Firefox 3.6.

Hello,
new LTS ubuntu versión is available for testing pourposes. LTS implyies 5 years of server support, when the usual support it’s 2 years.
I’ll try to check who it works this weekend and then I’ll post my impressions. But it’s carnival in my town, so may be I’ll post on thuesday.

Recently i have updated my work computer from Ubuntu 9.04 to Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) and i had problems running Spotify under Wine.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that I no longer interface spotify blinked when he had opened, but then I cheated by having problems listening to the music.
Bad Behavior has blocked 448 access attempts in the last 7 days.
