Hello friends,

Now that the jailbreak process is simple with Hot and Geo-Dev Team, with their alternatives, we are in many cases before the firmware update, the application of the jailbreak and the laborious process of reinstalling the applications of our Cydia, patches, etc.

This is possible thanks to help and automate PkG an application called Backup.

This software allows you to backup / restore your Cydia applications. That is, make a backup to then install the firmware, restore and have everything as before upgrading.  Amazing!!

We tell you how:

1. Download this .deb file

2. Once downloaded, you must install the file .deb in your terminal, thus:

since we access the pc via scp or filezilla to iphone and copy the file. deb that you downloaded, for example here:

/ var / root /

once you get within the iphone, disconnected the SFTP and now we access via SSH:

ssh root@10.0.2.2
cd / var / root
dpkg-i pkgbackup308.deb

Now ye have installed the package.

3. Open the application from our iphone

4. Click on the backup

5. Synchronize backup after our iphone with iTunes, since the PkG has created a contact on our agenda where the backup. If you have iTunes sync with contacts, will save it to your PC.

Then, reinstall the firmware again and sync again, you will have contact again in your terminal. PkG repair to install the Backup and Restore him to dais and ready!
